SAHF Submits Comments to the FCC on the Emergency Broadband Benefit program

SAHF submitted comments to the FCC on the newly created Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program, as established by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021. SAHF supports the EBB, which could help ensure approximately 33 million households have internet access and a connected device during the COVID-19 pandemic. SAHF and its members recognize the critical link between digital inclusion and the health and economic well-being of residents of affordable housing. The $3.2 Billion Emergency Broadband Benefit recently passed by Congress is an important first step in closing the digital divide.
