SAHF Sends Top Appropriators Letter Urging For Adequate Funding for Critical Housing Programs

SAHF sent a letter to Senate THUD Chair Hyde-Smith, Senate THUD Ranking Member Gillibrand, House THUD Chair Womack, and House THUD Ranking Member Clyburn urging the rejection of the Administration's proposed cuts and elimination of key HUD rental assistance programs. The letter reiterates that federal investments to HUD programs —including PBRA, Section 202, and FHA financing— are the foundation for developing and maintaining high-quality affordable housing and enabling long-term resident success. SAHF also urged the appropriators to robustly fund the HOME program, expand service coordinators for Section 202 program, and provide adequate funding for PBVs and FSS program.
