SAHF Sends HUD Sign-On Letter Urging For the Disbursement of GRRP Comprehensive Award Funding

On September 2, SAHF and 34 other organizations representing over 40 HUD Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) awards sent a letter to HUD urging the department to urgently move forward with new guidance or direction necessary to process transactions associated with the GRRP Comprehensive Category awards. The letter emphasizes that these funds are critical to meet the basic preservation capital needs of an aging affordable housing stock and that for many HUD-assisted Multifamily Housing properties, the financing provided and leveraged through GRRP represents the only dedicated federal resource currently available to support deeply needed recapitalization of our country’s affordable housing stock.
