SAHF Data Shows It: Investing in Residents Is Investing in Property Performance

New research led by SAHF, published in partnership with Abt Global and support from the Capital One Insights Center, makes the financial case for resident services in affordable housing. Drawing on data from 248 properties across 19 affordable housing organizations, the findings show that service-enriched properties generate 26% higher net operating income — nearly $1,200 more per unit annually — while also driving down rent arrears and eviction rates.
