On May 11, HUD issued guidance on the Green and Resilient Retrofit program that will make over $900m available to amplify recent technological advancements in energy and water efficiency and bring new focus to preparing for climate hazards by reducing residents’ and properties’ exposure to hazards and protecting life, livability and property when disaster strikes. This transformative program offers three pathways for HUD-Assisted Multifamily housing programs to access funding for energy efficiency, decarbonization, and climate risk. SAHF has created a brief overview of the program. Additional resources and the Notices of Funding Opportunities can be found on HUD’s website.
