Climate Resilience Intern
Elisha Zhao is the Climate Resilience Intern for Summer 2020. She is working with the Energy team, as part of the Bringing Sustainability Home initiative, to conduct a hazard assessment of SAHF member portfolios vulnerable to the effects of climate change, through both identification of the necessary tools/datasets and landscape analysis of the state and local resilience policies affecting affordable housing, with an emphasis on social equity.
Prior to joining SAHF, Elisha also worked on flood vulnerability mapping at Cloud to Street, helped develop public climate education initiatives at City Atlas, and assisted with local government in New York City Council.
Elisha is a rising junior at Columbia University studying Civil Engineering, with a minor in Environmental Engineering. She has great interests in resilient civil infrastructure and energy policy and is excited to be working at SAHF this summer.
